In between prepping for my upcoming classes I'll be teaching I've also been painting. Here's what's in progress at the moment:
The picture above is painted on reclaimed wood. Like our souls after becoming a believer, it is made new and beautiful.
This is what I hope to see in Tuscany.... if I ever get the chance to go! It's not done of course.
This is a cake plate I'm painting. I've fallen in love with those jade colored pieces of tableware, and since I can't get one at the moment, I'll paint it!

Hi Heather!!! I love your new blog look! I leave and everything changes :) I'm so excited to hear that you are really considering taking your talent to a new level. I loved your story about the mannikin and I absolutely agree that God gives us signs that are too obvious to ignore! My favorite painting is that Tuscany one... I love how you did the trees! Watercolor is actually quite difficult because it's unforgiving and it is awesome when something just works! I can't wait to hear about how the classes go and you need to just proceed with confidence in everything you do! You are an inspiration to me!
You know we had watercolor lessons while in Tuscany. (look in my May archives)
You did a great job... much better than my attempt! It must have been the brushes :-)
It had to be the brushes :)
I think my hubby would swap my art skills with your cooking skills if given the choice :)
