Have NyQuil... Will Draw

Well did someone put a hex on our house or what? We've all had some variation of a cold and fever or tummy troubles.
That meant lots of time in the bed with babies at the foot of the bed coloring. Here's what I did manage to finish. The table I gave a sneak peek at. And I'm also throwing in a piece I did about seven years ago with gallery glass on a picture glass. Oh and some ATC love.
Hugs Online Buddies. Here's to a hopefully non-sneeze week!
This was created with Gallery Glass from a drawing in my sketch book.
For a couple of buddies who always brighten my day.
My CMP ATC card for January: Beginnings
Whare I did most of the weekend: in bed with my daughters tray and my painting wheel.

Grant Park

Every morning I cut through a beautiful historic neighborhood called Grant Park. The link below has a very detailed story of it's history and what makes it so special to Atlanta.

So here are a few picks that I snapped driving in the other morning. Enjoy!

A Bottle and those doors

This is another example of the Fabulous Collection of Coke Art Folk Art here in the Corporate office. They are created by artist from around the world.

OK,
So I'm walking through those doors this morning... the one's that have freaked me out since I started working here at coke. An wouldn't you know my sketch book fell off my laptop roller bag and got hung and the doors kept moving. So I bend over to grab at the sketch book and the doors start pushing my Heine(bum) forward. I jump out and a lady snatched it up quickly and haded it to me. I looked back at the door and at this point there's a bunch of people waiting to pass through looking at me like I'm.. well.. a goober. Form now on I'm using the handy cap door. Those Revolving Doors are evil. well at least it's not as bad as when I tried on an Easter dress and came out to show it off... only to show off a certain under garment on that same Heine(bum) that the dress was tucked into. Look out Lucy there's a new Goober in town!

Cocoa, paint and a snow flake or two

Supplies:
  • Gesso( if your painting on wood or slick surfaces)
  • scissors
  • a folder
  • pains, at least two colors
  • paint brush

So I needed a little something on the walls of a bedroom. I was feeling a little funky and had snow flakes on the brain. So... a stencil made by way of old school snow flake cutting. And I cut my freestyle vase of flowers out of a folder. This was so it would be sturdy enough to use as a stencil. What do you think?

And below is a preview of a table I'm painting for our living room. Moe to come on this project.

Ok, I wanted to stick a few picks of the projects and pictures I'm working on today... but forget that when there's a nice blanket of snow over the Bible Belt. I'll get to bloggin tonight. I feel a snow angel coming on.

Coke Art Folk Art

Here at Coca-Cola we're blessed to be surrounded by an amazing collection of art from all over the world. But of all that beautiful eye popping art my favorite is the series of bottles done for the Coke Art Folk Art Collection. These massive Coke bottles are sprinkled through out the Coke campus. Each country takes great pride in showing off what make their countries culture special. And of course one of may favorites is the Turkey bottle... because of my hubby being Turkish.
I'll be sharing images from this series occasionally.

A large canvas and a fish

This is the top of my coffee table. Given new life as a painting to go over our safa. A little geso and it's a blank canvas with fun metal accents.

The fish scarf that was so fishy looking that I added a button as an eye.

Pumped and Feeling... a little pain

Hee Hee!
well I've stuck with it for 5 days. i even did the elliptical on nights I didn't need to according to the folks at sparkpeople.com. I need to buy a scale so I don't know if there's any change yet. But I already feel like I'm getting more energy.
I can't wait to get some knitting in this weekend. Yeeha! I'm gonna round me up a little scarf. OK no... we don't talk like that in Ga.... well most of us don't.
Hugs to my readers from a hopefully shrinking artgirlATL!

I'm lovin www.sparkpeople.com . I even resisted the office KrispyKreme stash... and they were fresh.

Ice, watercolor and knitting

We had a fabulous Christmas Vacation. We went ice skating. I did a little watercolor. I also finished my first two scarfs. And at the end after my last holiday left over... I joined www.sparkpeople.com to hopefully lose the baby weight from my now 4 year old!
Check out the little Vera Bradley bags my sister-in-law got my girls! She got me the large Vera bag. Wahoo! I'm too cheap to buy myself one. It's not Dave Ramsey friendly.
Missed all you blog buddies. Happy New Year!
