Father Daughter Dance

My girls had a blast at their dance with Daddy. What lucky girls they are to have such a great Dad. And what a lucky family we are to have each other!

Don't Let Your Daughters Read Swoon

To say that I was shocked at the amount of sex in Nina Malkin's Novel swoon is putting it lightly. Especially considering I picked it up in the teen section!
And I do understand that teens are not naive to such content. However, and it's a big however, this book contains teens using pornography ... as a group shall we say.
This book cover appeals to young girls. I don't want impressionable young girls to read this and think that it is normal or expected of them to participate in such GROUP activities. What a degrading book to women, girls and those who love them.

So... Please don't allow your daughters to read Swoon. I would put it on ebay just to get it out of my house, but I don't want some teen to nab it. So, off to the circular file(trash) it goes.

So with a craving for anything Twilight like.... I came across this Need . It's fabulous. It has the relationship elements that we all have fallen for in Twilight... which is a great segway to my other most recent read Fallen.

That was one yummy YA novel with a lovely southern setting.
Happy Reading!

a book?

I've been reading like a mad women for the last10 months. And it woke up the little girl in me who loved to write stories when she was tired of doodling in her sketch book.
So I'm starting my outline of a story based on an incident that happened to me as a child that has great bones to build a haunting young adult story around. But I keep having this little voice in my head saying.... You're to busy as a working mom and fine artist who doesn't get much fine art time lately. But I so want to do it.
What should I do? I'm torn.

Helen in the Fall

We love to take a little day trip up to the
North Georgia Mountains every fall.

Alpine Helen is a fun little tourist spot that enjoys Oktoberfest for it's biker crowds. But the reason we visit... the mountains, the leaves and the historic old buildings that line the road around Helen.

Hugs Y'all!
