Jesus.... Hey Jesus.

A funny and very sweet moment this weekend.
As we rolled the shopping cart out of Walmart this weekend, four year old in the buggy, six year old walking, husband pushing... it began to thunder. It then started to lightening.
My little one yelled "Jesus" looking skyward.
My husband looked puzzled. "That's thunder baby", he said a little puzzled.
She then pointed skyward and yelled her hardest "Hey Jesus, Jesus".
It was very sweet.
This little heart of mine, I'm gona let it shine!

a freezing shower, a swim & Yummy Turkish food

Saturday was spent swimming in between wonderful Turkish food my mother in-law prepared. That's one country that knows how to use a leaf. Role ground beef, rice, seasoning and some love into a grape leaf, or collards if your state side. And ummmmm mama!
Sunday morning started with an "Oh No". Yep the hot water heater was broke, and I needed a shower before cheering my little one on in her first speaking part in a play. So mommy took a cold shower. Mommy, who normally comes out looking like a lobster took a cold shower. Oh well, my hair was shiny, and a few hours and almost $300 later we had the part fixed to once again have toasty toes in the tub.
My little one shined, and my littlest one fidgeted, but did well. I was very proud. A little school shopping in between all this fun and that's a full weekend.
I ended with a night cap of chocolate milk and ATC card painting.

A Fairy a day keeps the.... Blues Away?

Another Work in Progress
Between ATC's and design work at the office I still haven't started the wedding map. Oh well.
School shopping for the little ones this weekend and some yummy Turkish food at my mother-in law's is just the thing to get the creative energy flowing. Wait, maybe not shopping, but Turkish food for sure. Yumo.

a website, a wedding map and peaches

I'm launching headlong into designing my web presence and finding Dreamweaver to be quite the handy little program. It will still be a bit before my site goes live. But, I'm closer than I was yesterday. And what a day that was.

I also realize that I need to get busy on a whimsical wedding map that I've promised to create for an old friend. It will be lots of fun to create. Full of lots of fun landmark illustrations... and who knows, I may through in a caricature of the bride and groom. O that deadline is looming.

Peaches. Thank God for the Georgia peach! We may have terribly hot weather, next to no winter, red clay instead of sod.... but darn it, We have THE PEACH. At least those didn't get burned in that little march through town by our old friend Sherman. The peach pictured here I created for at the office when we had downtime. I love drawing in Adobe Illustrator.

Blessings and Forward Thinking

A work in Progress

The excitement builds as I think of the creative possibilities with my new business. And I have been so fortunate to have found a network of friends. Friends who share a love for the creative. Thank goodness for the creative mom podcast, halfway there, and ScrapHappy. I can fill up on the creative and know... there are others out there!

I'm starting a business doing digital fantasy portraits from your favorite snap shots of loved ones. All sprinkled with pixie dust and creative love in the FairyMe Studio.
Some times we need "A Little Help from Our Freinds" and sometimes we just need to look with in. Oh well.

an idea, old friends and creative juices

I believe I've stumbled onto a great business idea. It may be what I've been praying for God to guide me to. I also have made contact with a few old friends that have the sentamental wheels turning. And I have so many project ideas, I can't make up my mind which to do first. All of this happening between a funeral, work, dishes and time with my kids. What a truely blessed Life.
