Mykitchen bookcases are decked...

We've visited the North Pole... Well the Tree farm near our home.

We've made and iced and eaten lots of cookies.

And we had our yearly CHristmas play at the church.

And this year my oldest was a shepherd woman! at least that's what she called it.

Merry Christmas to All!
Hugs Y'all.

Where There's A Will...

There's A Yard Stick!
I was kicking myself for doing this southern Christmas tree on Canvas board instead of a nicer real canvas.. How should I hang this oddly shaped piece of prim Christmas art? And then I saw my trusty yard stick. An icon of many a household. Used for everything from a spanking tool in some people's homes to an extension to place tape up high in a classroom.

Well my yard stick is now a piece of the art. What better way to both mount the art together and operate as the mechanism to be hung by. And it just looks so darn country/prim cute!
I'd like to sale it, my hubby wants us to keep it. What do y'all say?

A Promised Piece Complete

One down.

I created this painting for a sweetheart from my old Sunday school class. It's her grand daughter and great grands. So sweet. It was created using watercolors.

I Promise

I promise to post some new art soon. I'm so busy it's hard to snap the pics to post. My art table is brimming with activity. I've got a portrait of of three in watrcolor that I'll complete this week. I'm also working on a study of The Kindly Robyn and a hot rod for an auto nut... all hopefully complete before Christmas.
Plus, I'd like to paint a pice for the favorite teacher's in my daughters lives. We'll see if I can fit that in.
