Best Friends

These are the pet portraits I've been commissioned to create. I'm very excited about this new adventure into commissioned pieces. It's so exciting to have a place to sale my art.

I'm also exploring more utilitarian uses for my art. And someone prepaid me to create one for her after seeing me carrying my work in progress. Which by the way is now complete. I had a lot of fun thinking about what was rolling around in the bottom of our purses. I chose to leave out the extra socks in case of McDonald's playground, the paint brush and pans just in case the muse strikes, and the zillion post-its.

Congratulations on selling your pet portraits! Good for you!

I too am thankful for our troops. As you know my son is in the middle east right now, serving as a chaplain. My son in law was also in the middle east, just before he married my dd and we had A LOT of marines at our house all the time. I loved it, felt very safe in a not safe neighborhood, and told them they could eat anything they wanted at my house and stay there on weekends because they did things for me that I couldn't do, like jump out of planes and shoot guns.
