Have Fall Will Craft

We enjoyed a weekend of crafting, finishing UFO's (unfinished objects), baking cookies, visiting friends, taking fall naps and wrapped it up with praising & worshiping on Sunday.

Here's how I created the Pumpkin in the picture above:
Step 1- Sculpt general pumpkin shape out of aluminum foil.
Step 2- Cover aluminum foil with about a half inch thick layer of air dry clay(not paper clay).
Step 3- let dry about a week.
Step 4 -Paint using Plaid Brand Acrylic Paints ...
*I used a base of umber brown, then the orange and then sponged pearl white lightly over it all.

Tomorrow I'll explain how to create the candy corn in this picture. It's easy as pie!

Here's the sweet puppy I finished painting in watercolor. She'll be off to her new home in Macon, GA soon.

Thanks you Lord for your providence!

Your doggie painting is so cute... they will love it!! I am so impressed with your pumpkin! I love that black design also... kind of like a little papercutting (which you know I'm really in to!). I am amazed that you used clay. Is it fragile? I've never had luck with self-hardening clay but I'm thinking the acrylic paint is giving it a durable coating (really it's plastic!) so I can see how that is working. Very cute! You have really taken off with your creativity!! (I just love fall crafts too!) And you should start running with me!!! It's more of a walk, but I am so proud of myself for doing it!! I was just talking to my sister and we agreed that good music is a great motivator! Get some good praise and worship stuff in there and you won't want to stop running!! ;)
I had a wonderful Sunday too... it's like my faith has been propelled and I can feel God in all aspects of our life. I've heard some wonderful stories lately of miracles that can't be explained any other way than believing He had everything to do with it! Hope your week is going well!
