To kill a Mockingbird & other paintings
This is mixed media piece I did about my Great Grandmother Gertie. Gertrude it seems ran into a little trouble with a mockingbird. Everyday she sat in her porch swing and read the bible. A mockingbird started diving a snatching hair on a daily basis. Gertie grabbed a mouse trap and... well, solved the problem shall we say. Spiritual Battle?
The lady in the picture is actually Gertie. I printed her picture tiles very large collaged it onto my canvas and painted the rest.
This is a painting I created to go in my girls new playhouse. It's going to be very Shabby Chic. I've painted a linoleum floor cloth in a a very girly antique pattern I designed. My oldest helped me paint it. Lots of fun.

I went in a different direction with this one. I simply love Disney, so I went with aMUSEment!

Your card is really cool! And I love your cupcake painting. You must take photos of everything!!! And I also had to laugh at your Gertie painting! Poor bird. It probably never saw that coming!!
I love it all! And you have a new design on your blog too!
I think the playhouse is going to be the envy of all little girls in the neighborhood. Lucky little ladies.
