A Snow Pumpkin and A New Love

we gave new life to our center piece pumpkins from Thanks Giving. They have been painted by girls and then given pretty faces by each girl. We had great fun with this and I believe we'll do this each year. It was so fun. we happened to have pipe cleaners hanging around from the kids previous crafty adventures which mad great arms.
I have a new love.... KNITTING
And it probably looks a little sloppy, but I'm determined to get the hang of it. I'm hoping to get by the library to see if they have a couple of books the Creative mom suggested. I'm going to knit what you see below until it's long enough to call it a scarf and then wrap it around my littlest one.

Are you a left handed knitter?! I am! If you need any help with the knitting let me know.
Great idea to recycle those pumpkins.

My first piece. No, I'm right handed... but for some reason I keep knitting with my other hand?
The Provinoes in Morrow... near Southlake Mall/Clayton County. I think it's a Marko's or something now.
Thanks Willow. I'll let you know.

Are you on Ravelry yet? Great site for knitters and crocheters.

Thanks, I'd never heard of raverly. I got caught the knitting bug from listening to the creative mom podcast and looking at Willows blog.

Oh thanks, Artgirl! I'm glad I've inspired you. Knitting is so much fun. The process is (almost) more fun than wearing the finished products.

I am so excited that you're learning to knit too!! Willow is such a good resource...she's awesome! I love your pumpkin snowmen too! I wish I would have saved mine now. I think the wildlife has been eating them in the back woods!
Now I have to start a project soon with you!!!
