Do You Want Your Pet or Home Painted

I don't believe I've mentioned this in the past. But feel free to contact me if you're interested in having a watercolor of your home, business or favorite pet created.
I'd be happy to give you a quote after receiving an email of the subject.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.

3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

Hebrews 11:1-3 (New Living Translation)

I've been seeing God's work in my life. I hope you all are watching for his movement in yours. He's Amazing!

This is a work in progress.
I'm painting it for our awesome travel agent at

.
They specialize in Disney Vacations. Our Agent, Liz, is quite the Disney Expert. I hope to complete it this week to mail to her. What do you think?

a bird nest and more from the playhouse

Our house was filled with the tap tap sound of two hammers hard at work.

Look Out Rosie the Riveter, there's a new girl in town!

Perched above our car at the pharmacy drive through window we found a bird's nest. And mama was close by watching us.

They were so cute!

A Moth, a Tray and Some Waves

This is a quick painting I did for my dad's birthday while watching one of my favorite movies, Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Next I tested a craft project I'll be teaching in a holiday gift making workshop.

Then I got scared to death by what was facing me when I swung open the back door to feed my dog. Turns out it's an Imperial Moth. A male who is smaller than his lady acoding to the web. I'm glad she wasn't on my door. We'd need a landing pad for her.

He was so big. See my 7 year olds hand next to him.

So my oldest did what she sees mommy do when she's excited by something she sees. She out it on paper :) I'm so proud!

Not too shabby

This is an area rug I'm painting on scrap linoleum from our kitchen. It's going in the playhouse. The totally frilly, Girls Only Playhouse!

And this is the faux stained glass that will top each little window. I love Gallery Glass! In this case I'm freehand designing the gallery glass paint on wax paper. I pre-measured the window to be sure it would fit the window's width. Once dry it simply gets pealed off the wax paper and clings to the playhouse windows!

To kill a Mockingbird & other paintings

This is mixed media piece I did about my Great Grandmother Gertie. Gertrude it seems ran into a little trouble with a mockingbird. Everyday she sat in her porch swing and read the bible. A mockingbird started diving a snatching hair on a daily basis. Gertie grabbed a mouse trap and... well, solved the problem shall we say. Spiritual Battle?
The lady in the picture is actually Gertie. I printed her picture tiles very large collaged it onto my canvas and painted the rest.

This is a painting I created to go in my girls new playhouse. It's going to be very Shabby Chic. I've painted a linoleum floor cloth in a a very girly antique pattern I designed. My oldest helped me paint it. Lots of fun.

June ATC theme for the creativemom podcast: Muse
I went in a different direction with this one. I simply love Disney, so I went with aMUSEment!
Hugs!

A Place to Play

Hi Friends,
I've been out of the blogoshere taking an at home vacation. Lots of overnighting at relatives, a 5Th birthday party in our family, a local water park, watermelon and a playhouse.
The playhouse is being built by my husband and mother. It's going to match the color scheme of our home, but inside I'm planing a shabby chic overload. Check out the little front porch they'll have. An a bonus... when they're done playing Mommy will use this as a studio! Wahoooooooo!
Sun Burned Hugs,
